American Public Works Association Conference
TAIT exhibited a booth at the 10th Annual Streets and Technology Conference hosted by the American Public Works Association (APWA) in Long Beach, California on Wednesday, April 29th.
TAIT team members present at the Conference were: Michael Simon, PLS (Director of Surveying and President of the Orange County Chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association-CLSA), Todd Schmieder, PE (Senior Project Manager and Public Works Specialist), Michael DeLaGarza (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) and Brenna Meadows, EIT (LEED Accredited Professional).
The conference was held at the Carson Community Center and offered sessions covering topics related to Pavement, Infrastructure and Maintenance Technologies, ADA and LEED/Sustainability Design, as well as Right-of-Way Encroachments/Acquisition of Utility Coordination.
Margaret Vinci from Caltech was present at the conference and delivered a presentation titled “How a 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake on the San Andreas Fault will Affect Southern California”.
